Problem with Windows 8?

is anybody else having this problem installing. I tired everything to flash my new proxmark the latest version is 807? Can anybody help me with installation steps. Asper?

Well, you say "is anybody else having this problem" but... what is the problem ?

Also latest version is r839; if you think that latest isl r807 you probably haven't read this thread; have a look at it and at links you can find there: you will probably find you answers.

Did you try to flash with FLASH - bootrom.bat ? Try it without holding the button and also while holding the button. Maybe you already updated the bootrom.

If it doesn't works you should try to use win7 or vista.

There error message in your sceencast indicates that it cant find the flasher-old.exe. You need to stand in the same directory for it to find it.

Yes, iceman is right, batch file can't find the .exe

It is under the same file path. In the last thread you requested to look at apser in the new 8.1 does not let you go to gpedit.msc you need 8.1 pro to access it which I just recently upgraded which unfortunate it still didnt. It can still be recognize under windows 7 and has r807 and ran your application and it work but it wasnt my computer. I might just run a virtual machine to run windows 7 and install it there hopefully that must work. I dont have any other idea

Maybe there are problems with path names; try to copy all to c:\pm3 and launch the .bat file without spaces in folder/file names.

I did try that last thing you said asper, when i load the new bootrom by itself it automatically says the error flasher-OLD.exe like last time but when i dont put it in administrator mode the .elf files load but ends up just waiting for proxmark3 to be found on the usb and nothing happens. I havent tried the virtual machine yet

What is your actual bootrom version? Did you try with/without press and holding the button?

well finally after a couple of tries i used your idea o install it in windows 7. I used vmware player and was successfully able to into the driver on the first try all the flashes work. this is what i got does this seem correct to you?
