Built-in antenna.

Hello,

I have this situation that I need to read the card transmission. In the wall is a small hole where i can put card.
It can not be read the transmitting antenna wire because there is not expected to enter.
I tried to connect Proxmark directly into the card, but does not work. I cut off RFID antenna from other card, sticked it on card, connected to proxmark - unfortunately does not work.

Do you have any idea how to read the transfer in the wall where I have a small hole?
Any idea how to make bulit-in antenna ?

Re: Built-in antenna.

Looking at the coil you removed from the card, it has too many turns to be 13.56Mhz so it must be a low frequency card, but from your pictures it looks like you're connecting it to the test points for the HF antenna.

Even using a coil from a working card, it's not neccessarily going to work with the proxmark as it needs to be tuned correctly with C39. What does your "tune" command output look like. You need to get that working first.

Once the antenna works with whatever coil you have, then you're on the right track taping it to an existing card and inserting it into the slot on the wall for capturing the data between the card and slot reader.

Re: Built-in antenna.

it is coil from mifare classic smile 13.56Mhz.

tune:

>> Started prox, built Feb 19 2009 16:13:31
>> Connected to device
> tune
# LF antenna @ 0 mA / 0 mV [1273 ohms] 125Khz
# LF antenna @ 0 mA / 0 mV [1187 ohms] 134Khz
# HF antenna @ 20 mA / 7147 mV [235 ohms] 13.56Mhz

if this coil is put on card - i can't read content form card by reader ( read error )
( explained clear? wink )

tommorow i will try to make good, flat antenna - i will write about it.
