I was reading an Australian security magazine today "Security Electronics & Networks" and noticed that the Proxmark was in one of the articles (125kHz Prox, 13.56mHz Mifare or DESfire? - In the magazine it is titled 'Playing your cards' p62 October Issue 326). There is no mention anywhere that the illustration is of a Proxmark or where it and the LF antenna came from. I found that very disappointing.
What makes me laugh though is how little the Australian security industry knows about NFC security in general. This article clearly illustrates how far they are behind the eight ball.
Has anyone else seen the Proxmark out there in the wild? If so where? In a blog, a paper or magazine?
Are there companies out there using it (excluding BQT)? It made me wonder approximately how many of these devices are out there.

You mean like in this document from McAfee, who even released a firmware (upgrade) to enumerate HID Prox tag-id's.

Exactly!
When/where did they release firmware? What's so special about their 'upgrade'? Just enumeration? Never mind. I just finnished reading the document
