Sorry but i'm not a c-programmer, but it would be nice to have Hitag types in the lf hitag info comand.
Next last digit in the serial determine the hitag types.

been testing on this NCF2951 which is latest hitag but still slow progress. i am still struggling to read the wake up request on 125khz also for the PKE

This is only an Idea.
Disassemble the battery,and check if the backup-transponder is working
in the remote (passive LF for immobilizer).
