If phone can read it, why not PM3?

Hi All,

I have a question. I've been issued with 2 credit-cards with the tap-to-pay system. Proxmark identifies these as a MIFARE 4K DESFIRE card.

What puzzles me is, if i download a run-of-the-mill Android NFC app and scan the card with a Galaxy S7 - the app displays the Credit-card number, expiry date and name.

The Proxmark however refuses to get any data off the card. It just says the keys are invalid, or other errors. What am i doing wrong? It does successfully identify the card though.

Thanks,

neoprema

that would be because Desfire isn't implemented on PM3...

but if you want to try reading a EMV card (like credit cards),  you can test the new commands under

cool thanks. ive tried - not sure what all the output means so i'll have to play with it more. Nothing looking like card data is being returned but it might be in HEX.
