Re: Info ldtageditor

the new ldtageditor  (with the new characters, Year 2) has an error i the analysis, you can't install it.
Otherwise, I wanted manually to put the new ID but don't work. (the new ID I saw here in another post, he wrote Kurapika666)
Example: Jake is ID 51 but is wrong, asks for an update and the original character works well; old characters work for all ID

any idea?

Thanks

EDIT: ldtageditor works fine in Android 6.0.1 !!!! All new caracteres too.

Re: Info ldtageditor

I found out it seems to read only empty tags and not the already written one's by manufacturer of the game.
From 10 ntag213 I have 3 that are not working. Don't know why, but after write command it isn't, returning back to home screen. When I cancel and the read the chip. It says that a new character is on it, but in the game it isn't, detected. Strange. Maybe bad chip.

Re: Info ldtageditor

please write
- which kind of smartphone and android version have you used
- which ldtageditor version
- what kind of tag213

someone know if re-write is possible on black tag after first write?

is possible to remove password from original tag and read/ write on it?

why read on original tag does not work?

Thanks

Re: Info ldtageditor

fly_76:
- Samsung S7 with 6.0.1
- ldtageditor212
- NTAG213 144 bytes
These tags can be erased and re-written a lot of times
you can't remove password from original tag, can not erase it.
You can not copy an original tag because you have to encode the new tag, each tag has a serial number and is used to encode the characters, so each tag, original or not, has a different number for the same character.

Re: Info ldtageditor

Did this ever get recompiled to be compatible with android 4.1?  I saw where it was done for 4.4 in a prior thread.  I was originally using ags131's github on node-ld and trying to figure out how to decrypt then ecrypt character id's to write to blank ntag213, but couldn't get it work.  Further research (ie google-fu) led me to the discussion in this forum about lego dimensions, which then led me here.  I had originally discovered the ldtageditor on another forum and did a quick download in february, but never got around to using it.

After successfully spoofing my kids amiibos on ntag215 keyfobs (yay no more amiibos scattered everywhere and now on display in the game room), I decided to see if I could do the same with lego dimensions.  It seems like every link is dead and the reddit group is private and the http://ldcharcrypto.ags131.com/ site no longer works.

I tried the ldtageditor on filedrop and get parsing error on install, which I figured since my phone is one 4.1.2 and it looks like it needs 4.4 or even 5.0 and higher.

I know its an old thread and may not be answered, but it was worth a try.

Thank you for your time.

(as a side bonus, after learning about this site I have purchased a proxmark 3, prior I was using an arduino rc522, so something new to play with)

You can get the id set from ags131 node-ld github (if you need a link I can PM)

As for 8 and 9, I haven't seen those yet, but admit I am new to using ntag213 for lego dimensions.   I do have the upcoming May 9th sets on order and can scan them when they come in and send them to you.

I cant wait to try the UID changeable tags.

On a side note, did anyone save a copy of Jeppechr guides on manual writing?  I tried the links and they are dead as well.  I've played with the vehicle info in the original post and have it figured out, but am having a hard time getting the characters to work.  Now I'm waiting on some more tags from china before I can go any further.

I guess I'm going to have to be lazy and find a cheap android nfc phone with lolipop

I wish there was more interest in the dimensions and making backups like there is with the amiibos.  I am constantly struggling with my kids to pick up the characters and vehicles when they are done playing and putting them back in the storage containers.  The amiibos are not so bad as they are basically little figures, but the dimension vehicles drive me nuts.

I learned how to edit .js files and complile APK files this weekend when I saw the new update pushed. Having the app allow just a numerical ID input is what I needed to I just created a list with IDs up to like 80 and I select the higher numbers I want

. I didnt have time to change the vehicles. I have the new characters running.

You can use node-ld on ags131 to get pages 36:37:43 for characters. His website was charactercrypto.js in HTML format. Super easy to do. Just install node js version 4.2

Re: Info ldtageditor

I hate to keep spamming the board as this is technically a discussion on the apk ldtageditor.

Be sure to get the latest release (updated 10 minutes ago)

make a temp directory under c:\ drive

extract files to c:\temp

should have c:\temp\node-ld-master

Browse to the directory and copy everything (not cut) under the node-ld-master directory to temp

This will create two working folders with the same information

Download node.js version 4.2 from nodejs.org (seems to work the best) and install

open a command line to c:\temp\node-ld-master

type

npm install

You'll get a few errors, but it still works

Now under c:\temp\node-ld-master\

type

node samples\characters.js

It will ask for your tags UID (first 3 hex of page 1, and 4 hex of page 2)

This will output a list of characters with page 36, 37, and 43 info

use your favorite nfc writing program and write the output to the appropriate pages

Because characters had a specific UID that the game keep and if you write an other character or vehicle in the same tag, the game know that this UID from the chip was used. The game only save the UID when it reads a character, but if you start the game again those UIDs disappeared.

Re: Info ldtageditor

Keep it short and sweet.

1) UID is stored with the game with 1 character per data. So probably you cannot use same UID for the game even you rewrite the data blocks within the tag itself

This the reason why Ntag UID changeable is useful for this application. One tag to serve all purpose. smile

Okay, I understand better.
Thank you for the explanations.
About magic ntag, do you need to change the UID manually or does it automatically?
I saw that ags131 had updated the list of characters and vehicles.
Do you know if an update to ldtageditor is planned?

No one knows.  He still seems pretty active and willing to help.  However, since he has restored https://ldcharcrypto.ags131.com/ you really don't need ldtageditor.

You can use Mifare++ ultralight to read a blank ntag213,  Use the UID (which is the first 6 characters of line 1 and the next 8 characters of line 2) and enter that and the character/vehicle ID of your choice.  Once the site spits out the info, just type it exactly into the pages that it says then use write function.  All the toypad cares about are lines 35, 36,37, 38, and 67

I tried Mifare++ ultralight but it only reads/writes 45 pages, not 67. I'm using the same ntag213's that work fine using ldtageditor so I know the problem is not the tags. Any ideas?

Okay, I understand better.
Thank you for the explanations.
About magic ntag, do you need to change the UID manually or does it automatically?
I saw that ags131 had updated the list of characters and vehicles.
Do you know if an update to ldtageditor is planned?
Thank you for your answers.

Any ideas?

You are correct, but you are confusing hexadecimal for decimal.

The ntag213 has 180 bytes of data broken into 45 (hexadecimal 0x45) pages of 4 bytes each (45x4 = 180)

When I say 35,36,37,38, and 67 (decimal) that means pages 0x23,0x24,0x25,0x26 and 0x43 (hexadecimal)

When you type your uid into https://ldcharcrypto.ags131.com/ the output will give you both decimal and hexadecimal page numbers and what to change in mifare++ ultralight before writing to tag.

For example, if I scan an ntag213 and get
45 31 6a 38
8c 2e 51 a7

On pages 1 and 2, I take the first 3 bytes (6 characters) 45 31 6a of page one and 4 bytes (8 characters) of page 2, to get the tags uid of 45316a8c2e51a7

I plug that into https://ldcharcrypto.ags131.com and choose character of 1 (batman) and get

35 (0x23) 00000000
36 (0x24) 1F731249
37 (0x25) CBEB262D
38 (0x26) 00000000 (Token Type)
67 (0x43) 06AF4E58 (PWD)

So in mifare++ ultra you would type
1F731249 On page 24
CBEB262D On page 25
06AF4E58 On page 43

Then write to tag

You should really look through

http://www.proxmark.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2657

And ags131's github

https://github.com/ags131/node-ld

And ntag data sheet

http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/NTAG213_215_216.pdf

For a more thorough explanation

67 (0x43) 06AF4E58 (PWD)

ldcharcrypto.ags131.com wrongly shows:
67 (0x43) 06AF4E58 (PWD)

it should actually be:
43 (0x2B) 06AF4E58 (PWD)

It just a typo on the webpage but I wasn't thinking and overlooked it. It should probably be fixed so it doesn't cause more confusion.

I'll have to dig through the other thread and get the algorithms to calculate everything so I can just write a bash script to do it in the future.

Re: Info ldtageditor

I did the test with MIFARE ++, page 24 and 25 OK, but page 43 is not taken into account.
When reading the TAG, page 43 shows 00000000.
I make the change and I write but on re-reading, no change.

You are correct.  I wasn't paying attention.  Thank you for pointing that out. Be sure to check out agis131 github for node-ld it has the pwdgen and tea encryption you need

Note sure why you're having trouble.  Are you sure they are ntag213 tags?

If you've already tried to read the tag at least once, you'll have to completely power-off your xbox before trying again. IIRC, it remembers the serial #'s of `bad` tags until it's powered off.

When I use NFC Tools, it tells me it is a MIFARE Ultralight C NTAG213.

I didnt test on my console.
I read the tag with MIFARE ++, made the changes (pages 24, 25 and 43) and wrote the tag.
I re-read it and only the changes on pages 24 and 25 was OK.
Page 43 was not taken into account (read 00000000 before and after).
