Good day,

the runme.bat file in the ProxSpace-130613.7z folder is giving an error of "Program can't start because msys-regex-1.dll is missing".

Any suggestion on how to use this ProxSpace project folder.

ok using the Proxspace-20100226-r390.7z runme.bat opens without any error messages after correcting the "MYPATH" and changing the forward slash to backward slash.

Then I downloaded the pm3-bin-756 (cdc+lua).rar to update the PM to the new cdc serial interface.

1. I launched the FLASHNEW Bootrom(uses old flasher exe with -b option) and following all the necessary steps of holding down the button.
2. Connect the PM3 to a USB port and get stuck for more than 30 min, it shows this message:

Waiting for Proxmark to appear on usb............

and get stuck here for more than 30 min. I got tired of holding down the button and disconnected the PM3.

Please help, on what I am doing wrong

Where are the other updated guides on how to install / flash again?

Some user (I forgot who) has made a nice updated mingw guide for Windows ppl.
or you can use my docker container,

The thing is that 756 firmware is really old and outdated. You should pull latest source from Github and compile/flash that to be sure you got all the new stuff.

@gator96100, perfect! In your "readme before starting.txt" I'm a bit doubtful about your flashing part. In the last year or so, we only need to flash fullimage.elf.

@iceman. The only available windows guide that I got for the Proxmark3 is the:
1. https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3/wiki/Windows (which uses the ProxSpace-130613.7z and pm3-bin-756)
2. and https://code.google.com/archive/p/proxmark3/downloads under doc.7z (Getting started guide for windows 7 users) which uses Proxspace-20100226-r390 but does not indicate which firmware to use.

@ gator96100, thanks I will try your Proxspace environment and update on the outcome.

on the side plz advise if my procedures are correct.

1. Set up the Proxspace environment/project folder using the https://github.com/Gator96100/ProxSpace
2. modify the "MYPATH" and forward slash in the runme.bat
3. test the configuration by running "runme.bat"
4. go to https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3 and download the repository (which i suppose is the latest firmware)
5. copy the downloaded repository contents from Github into the Proxspace project folder
6.install the PM3 drivers (only folder with working drivers is the (pm3-bin-756 on my machine)

7. Now my problem start here::

7.1. using the pm3-bin-756 firmware from https://code.google.com/archive/p/proxmark3/downloads is straight forward since the FLASH NEW Bootrom(uses old flasher exe with -b option).bat is available to launch
7.2 Now if i am not to use the pm3-bin-756 how will i flash the PM3 with the downloaded firmware, there is no guide on how to flash the PM3 with this step

Please advise

and thanks again iceman and gator96100 for your feedback. Its just that I want to start exploring my new PM3 and this installations are not that quite easy to grap.

if you are not interested in modifying the source you can skip the compiling process and download the pre-compiled client. http://proxmark.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3975
To set up the ProxSpace environment download the proxmark source files and copy them into the ProxSpace/pm3 folder, run "runme.bat" and you should be ready to compile the source.
When buying a proxmark nowadays it usually comes with the 2.x.x firmware, so the drivers from pm3-bin-756 will not work. The driver for the new interface is included in the pre-compiled client or at https://github.com/Proxmark/proxmark3/b … xmark3.inf

my question: is the HF Antenna voltage correct because the version 2.2 from this link https://store.ryscc.com/blogs/news/45802433-getting-started-with-version-2-2-0-of-the-proxmark3 mention that the HF voltage should be in this region: 13.36V @ 13.56MHz

please advise

hm, what kind of PM3 device do you have? green pcb or elechouse? By the looks of it, green pcb from rysc corp
And you flashed fullimage/running client from same build?

Old style antennas leaves a bit to wish for. You could try making yr own HF antenna, 20-30v should be doable.

I flashed the fullimage and running the client from the same build. I guess its the correct way.

from your reply i gather that the problem is with the type of antenna i am using(https://store.ryscc.com/products/high-frequency-pcb-antenna), which can only register 8-9V from tune command. this will affect my snooping distance.

Thats the correct way.
And yes, the antenna will limit your device a bit. Still works but do try to build a better antenna.
