Win 7 64bit driver issues

Got my hardware, but am having a devil of a time getting the system to work.

I am running a amd win7 64bit system,
I grabbed the "Proxmark-Driver-2012-01-15.7z" drivers from the downloads page as they seem to be the most up to date that i could see given the documentation in the src (which looks rather out of date for windows)

Even updated the proxmark3.inf file to be the one in the svn src /drivers folder but am getting a

"The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based system." Error

I know i am updated the right usb device in the Human interface devices list as it goes away and comes back when i disconnect / plug in the proxmark3

Are their more up to date drivers around anywhere?  I found a link to a windows 32x precompiled 715 build but it didn't seem to have any drivers in it either.

any help would be greatly apriciated.
thanks

Re: Win 7 64bit driver issues

There are currently two USB interfaces available. As your pm3 is new, I guess it's bootrom version still uses the old version.
Try the driver installation way described here by asper for Vista. That worked on my Win7 system as well.
Don't update the Driver package 2012-01-15.
